This is a visualizer I created in response to the prompt “a space for a body.”
Project type: Short/Visualizer Tools: Final Cut Pro, Projection
This project started with a borrowed projector and a song recommendation from my friend, Maïa. The prompt “a space for a body” is quite broad, and as a frequent traveler I wanted to convey a sense of motion and change within the environments I portrayed.
I started out editing footage into greenscreened windowpanes, but found these kinds of templates to be too static for my purposes. Instead, I applied masking to stock footage of a train car.
A special thanks to Maïa for helping me develop and test shots!

I created a montage of passing landscapes in the windowpane and then projected this onto my bedroom wall. I shot several iterations of the story acting as the shadow, and settled on on the final idea of a dream induced journey in my last edit.
