Comfort Konbini
This is a hand-drawn zine representing my ideal convenience store. Sometimes your mind feels like a pile of mush, and it’d be mighty convenient to have a one stop shop for comfort.
Concept
The idea for the Comfort Konbini started with this brain dump doodle. And the simple came together as I drew inspiration from many of my favorite things- bento boxes, scenes from the Hunger Games, and quotes from Moby Dick.
What would the Comfort Konbini sell?
Some ideas :
White Rabbits rebranded as “Mind Mashers.” Warm cups of cocoa. And of course, some buzz-free caffeine.
Zine Fair
When I presented my work at a class zine fair, I set up my booth with complementary Comfort Konbini snacks and beverages.
